A Bit Large But Works Well  
It isnt very elegant but gets the job done. The main unit is a bit large. You can easily see it from anywhere in the room with the basic display with large digits. However to see the reading from the remote sensor or to change it back you have to walk over to it and press the channel button to cycle through the 4 channels. The button is stiff so unless mounted you have to pick it up and press the button with your thumb. You have to cycle through blank channels not in use but not a big deal. It might have been nice for it to cycle automatically over time through channels in use. The remote unit had a very small display of its own which is really nice so you dont have to walk back to the main unit and change the channel to see what it thinks the humidity is where the remote transmitter is located. So I just use them mostly as independent units that I just read if interested when in the room. Infrequently I will cycle through just to see when I am near the main unit.

An excellent product that will help you save energy and your electric bill  
I bought 2 sets of this product so I have two base stations and two remote sensors. I put them all side by side along with two other older Bionaire units that may be the predecessor of the model because the design look the same as the base station. All 6 units show temperature within a 1 degree F. The Honeywell units read higher humidity than the Bionaire by about 5% which is very good and thats really all one would ever need for home use. Older analog humidity sensors are highly untrustworthy in my experience.

The reason I bought 2 sets is because I wanted two remote sensors one in my screened porch for outdoor conditions and one for the basement. I only need 1 base station but the cost of the set is almost the same as the remote sensor so it makes sense to buy 2 sets. each base station will read up to 3 sensors but they would be the same 3. So in my case both base stations monitor the basement and the outdoor conditions.

Great All-Purpose Thermometer/Hygrometer  
My basement is a bit damp and I use this product to monitor the humidity down there. I have the main unit setup in my kitchen with a remote sensor in the basement to monitor this humidity. I love being able to check on the status of my basements humidity level from the comfort of my kitchen - which really helps me decide on if I need to run the dehumidifer.

The product is well constructed and a piece of cake to setup - with a great display thats easy to read. If youre looking for a basic thermomenter/hygrometer with multiple sensors then look no further! : 2010-09-16 03:22:21

Extremely wasteful packaging microscopic print in manual  
First of all this works great. It does what I want and does it well.

Setup was very easy.

Im giving this two stars because this came in a huge blister pac. When I first saw the box from Amazon I was going to file a complaint for wasteful packaging. Once I opened the box I realize the blister pac made such a large box necessary. The box was 16 x 12 x 5.5 inches. I received another item from Amazon in a A1 box 10 x 7 x 3.5 inches. This could have fit in that box if it wasnt for the blister pac.

Also youll probably need a magnifying glass to read the manual. I did at first then located the manual online at the honeywellstore.

If this had been packaged rationally the box could have been 1/3 to 1/4 the size. Also like all blister pacs its a pain to open.
